What you’ll be doing in this role?

The Early Childhood Support Officer supports the Early Childhood (EC) team to work with families and primary caregivers of children younger than 6 with developmental delay and children younger than 9 with disability. The Early Childhood approach supports families to help children develop the skills they need to take part in daily activities and achieve the best possible outcomes throughout their life.

You will support a diverse transdisciplinary team of allied health and early childhood professionals who work with families and primary caregivers of children under seven years of age, who have developmental delay or disabilities.

Your work will include:

  • Reception support and customer support by taking initial enquiries and transferring calls to the appropriate team member as required, as well as administrative support to Area Manager, Team Leader and all members of the Early Childhood team by preparing correspondence, photocopying, scanning and filing.
  • Maintaining the calendar booking system in Microsoft Outlook, Coordinate and schedule appointments for Early Childhood Coordinators. 

What we’re looking for: 

  • A current Victorian Drivers Licence
  • Qualifications in administrative functions or business administration (Desirable)
  • Experience in data entry and  administration
  • Experience in working within the early childhood, paediatric or a community or human services setting.
  • A current Working with Children Check (Employee) or VIT Registration
  • NDIS Workers Screening Check (can be obtained during application)
