Senior Contracts Officer

Location as agreed at one of our sites in South Eastern Melbourne or Gippsland, full-time, 12-month fixed term.

What you’ll be doing in this role?
We are seeking an experienced Senior Contracts Officer to join our Contracts team, reporting to the Manager Governance.
This role plays a key part in strengthening LCHS’s end to end contract management function and ensuring agreements are compliant, effective and aligned with best practice commercial standards.
You will work closely with internal stakeholders to support tender processes, manage contractual risk, oversee contract renewals and contribute to continuous improvement across contract and lease management.
Your work will include:
- Assist and advise in the preparation of tender/quotation documentation and assist and guide staff seeking tenders and/or quotes.
- Establish contract documentation and facilitate the execution of contracts ensuring alignment with legislative and LCHS requirements
- Analyse and provide advice on contract content including conditions, risk, implications and potential impact on LCHS.
What you’ll need:
- A current Victorian Drivers Licence
- A current Working with Children Check (Employee)
What we’re looking for:
- Experience and understanding of the nature of legal agreements.
- Solid written and verbal skills, with the ability to draft documentation in accordance with organisational policy and legislative requirements.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and accurately with a range of people ensuring a professional standard of customer service to all contacts, both internal and external.
- Passionate about the customer experience, having a strong sense of self-awareness and the ability to maintain a positive attitude at all times.
- Works both independently and as part of a team.
- High level of computer literacy and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office suite of programs and the internet.
- Undertake data entry, document management and navigate between databases effectively.
