Occupational Therapy - Cadetship

  • Join us on a two year casual contract as an Allied Health Assistant and gain hands on experience in a supportive team!
  • Enjoy flexible work arrangements that fit around your university schedule, including placements and busy exam periods.
  • Build your skills and confidence with on the job training, guided by a team of experienced and passionate Occupational Therapists.
  • Receive ongoing supervision, mentoring, and support to help you grow in your role.
  • Once you’re qualified, you’ll have the opportunity to apply for an Occupational Therapist position with LCHS (if a role becomes available)

As part of our 'Scholarship and Cadetship Program', the Occupational Therapy Cadetship is an opportunity to gain industry insight and connect with industry professionals. 

 

We're working to support the future of allied health professionals by creating more opportunities for students to gain experience and exposure in their field! 


This program provides Occupational Therapy students entering their third year of studies, with the opportunity to gain paid employment as an Allied Health Assistant. You’ll work closely with the Occupational Therapy team, developing practical skills and building core competencies in OT practice within a supportive Community Health setting.

To be successful, you will require;

  • Evidence of enrolment into an eligible Occupational Therapy course
  • A current Working with Children Check
  • Satisfactory Police Check
