Neurodevelopment Services Clinician

The Paediatric and Youth Program at Latrobe Community Health Service has been undertaking Autism assessments for over 2 years. The Neurodevelopment Services Clinician will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to work on growing this program, increasing the number of assessments that can be offered to children in the local community.


As a Neurodevelopment Services Clinician, you will be a key member of the autism assessment clinic multidisciplinary team. You will work across the autism assessment service and the provision of early intervention services. Key responsiblities of this role are to engage with children and their families conducting developmental and functional inerviews, supporting or administering standardised assessments and assisting with the formulation of results and preparing written reports. Where appropriate, you will also provide brief targeted interventions to support families whilst they await referral to other services.

LCHS are moving towards providing more services to neurodiverse children, there will be potential for this role to expand into other neurodevelopmental assessments and therapy in the future.

To be successful, you will require;

  • Tertiary qualification in related field
  • Previous experience working with neurodiverse children
  • Previous experience undertaking assessments with children and their families
  • A current Employee Working with Children Check
