Latrobe Community Health Service and Cairn Millar are partnering with Quantum Support Services to deliver an exciting new and life-changing program called the Gippsland Supporting Recovery Program.
This is a new program providing access to long-term, free, trauma informed psychological therapies for people who have experienced family, domestic and sexual violence. The team comprises of therapists, lived experience, intake, cultural, and disability workers.
Key elements of the service include:
- Victim-survivors of FDSV and their families have free access for up to 2 years to evidence-based trauma informed mental health care
- Provision of psychological therapies and other appropriate wellbeing and social interventions
- Collaborations with other services to facilitate coordination of care and assist with referral pathways
- Community engagement activities to increase community awareness
The purpose of this role is to provide family, domestic and sexual violence (FDSV) trauma-informed mental health care services, including psychological therapies and other appropriate wellbeing and social interventions within Latrobe Valley and Baw Baw areas to support victim-survivors in their longer-term recovery.
To be successful, you will require;
- Tertiary qualification in psychology, social work, counselling or related discipline
- Experience and/or comprehensive understanding of the family violence or mental health service system
- Experience in delivering trauma-informed care and practice
- Experience and ability to formulate and work within evidenced based therapeutic modalities supporting survivors of family, domestic and sexual violence
- Trained in the assessment of risk and application of the MARAM Framework
- A current Victorian Driver’s Licence
- Registration or eligibility with AHPRA, AASW or PACFA
- A current Working with Children Check
