What you’ll be doing in this role?

Reporting to the Team Leader Family Violence the role of the MBCP Practitioner works in collaboration as part of a multi-disciplinary team. The MBCP Practitioner conducts assessments, responds to referrals from all area, provides assessment of men’s readiness for change, co-facilitate men’s groups in the Local Government areas identified and make referrals to relevant services both internal and external where appropriate.

Your work will include:

  • Facilitate Men’s Behaviour Change Group across Latrobe, Baw Baw and Wellington. 
  • Work collaboratively with the Family Safety Advocates
  • Participation in the assessment and case management of clients in conjunction with other providers as required and with client’s permission
  • Provide case work support to eligible men who have been displaced by family violence

What we’re looking for:

  • Relevant undergraduate degree in social work, psychology and/or related degree 
  • Has completed Victorian Risk Assessment and Risk Management Framework training (MARAM comprehensive)
  • Has observed a minimum of 10 group sessions
  • A current Victorian Drivers Licence
  • A current Working with Children Check (Employee) or VIT Registration
  • Graduate Diploma or Graduate Certificate in Men's Family Violence (desirable)
  • 100 hours of experience facilitating men's behaviour change groups (desirable)
